VHS Transfers

If you have home-made video tapes lying around, they're probably filled with memories that you'd like to preserve for friends and family for years to come.  You may have noticed that it's not so easy to share or show these videos since a VCR and TV is required to view them.  With these videos digitized, they can be viewed on DVD by practically anybody.

Even better: converting them into media files such as .mov or .mp4 means you can keep these videos on any device of your choosing whether it's a laptop, phone or tablet.  With great ease, you'll be able to share these videos with anyone using various websites.

The most important reason for video digitization is preservation: VHS tapes eventually deteriorate and will someday no longer be playable.  After being digitized, your videos can be preserved forever.  Even though DVD's, computers and devices may get old and unusable at some point, your files can be copied indefinitely with no loss of quality.

Pricing:

  • $10 Raw DVD:
Each DVD contains an hour of footage from the tape, captured exactly as it appears on the tape and is playable on any DVD player
  • $40 Media File
A movie file containing up to 2 hours of footage. $20 for each additional hour.  This file is edited to clean up static and gaps of white noise and is easy to share on the internet.  The file itself can be as long as you want it to be; but I would advise against any one file being much longer than two hours.  When paying for the media files, each hour of raw, uncut footage will be included at no additional charge on DVD.
